The Flint Hills Regional Leadership Program is a unique opportunity that is special to our region. This program brings individuals together from across the region to collaborate, learn and grow together. As a class
we have discussed our local challenges, observed the unique opportunities in our home areas and shared the gifts the Flint Hills provides for our region. This program is eye opening, rewarding and so incredibly humbling.

As Eleanor Roosevelt once said “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” We each have had to step out of our comfort zones and grow as individuals. I encourage anyone who has the chance to be a part of the Flint Hills Regional Leadership Program to do it. Take the leap of faith and learn about the region we live in. Each community has a hidden gem that even the longest living residents have yet to uncover.
