Class of 2020 - 2021

2020 was a year… A year that started out with promises of new beginnings.  Little did we know what 2020 had in store for us. I was not sure what to expect joining the Flint Hills Regional Leadership Program in the middle of a pandemic. With so many rules and precautions that needed to be put in place. Jack had it all figured out for us. We made it work. We were still able to see our Flint Hills Region in person and have speakers who were willing to take a chance and let us in on their hidden treasures.  

I was born in Junction City, as an Army Brat being stationed at Fort Riley 3 times and living in this area for the last 18 years.  During this years sessions I was impressed by how much I learned about the Flint Hills and what we have to offer. I tell my friends it was like going on a field trip every month. I enjoyed the opportunity to learn and network with classmates, speakers, and Jack. I gained new friends, knowledge of our Community, and a respect for everyone involved.  

The FHRLP experience exceeded my expectations and showed me that you truly do learn something new every day. And that just because the world seemed to be falling apart, great leaders like us can show everyone else that we will not back down. Thank you to the leaders, donors and businesses who allowed us to participate in this program and for their continued commitment to the Flint Hills Regional Leadership Program.
