Bernadette Trieb

Growing up in the Flint Hills, I always knew it was a special place, but it was not until I took part in the Flint Hills Regional Leadership Program that I truly understood the magnitude and depth that this region has to offer. This program offers experiences that the average Kansan would not ever have. Being able to go behind the scenes to see how different cities, counties, small and large businesses partner and work together has been very eye opening and rewarding. We have been able to assess the pros and cons of the Flint Hills Region and look at things from different perspectives. We were able to witness people turning their dreams into realities and thinking outside the box to create magnificent, productive businesses.
 
This program encourages people to try something new, understand the needs of the region, learn about services available, the importance of advocacy and speaking up for what you believe, and getting out of our comfort zone. Thank you to all sponsors, communities, and hosts that have made this program possible.
 
As a member of the Eagle class, I was so excited to get to know everyone and learn about their lives that have led them to their current positions. I look forward to promoting this program to many people and continuing to watch my class soar!
